Dennis the founder and breeder of Dennik Yorkies was always passionate about dogs. He is a Registered Nurse by profession and works for Saskatchewan Health Authority. He found love towards Yorkshire Terriers, often called as Yorkies for their big personalities, confidence and playful nature. He first began showing "Monte Cristo" from European bloodline and introduced "Bella" from South-American bloodline. Starting from a perfect blood line was his high priority and getting their CKC championships was a passion. He also added 3rd dog from a Canadian bloodline into his kennel. After careful consideration and planning he stepped his foot into breeding. He takes pride in his passion for Yorkshire terriers and has great desire to improve their genetics. All our dogs go through rigours health testing which includes cardiac, eyes, elbows, hips, patella and thyroid through OFA and has CHIC numbers. Genetic testing is done through Embark to ensure breeding stock is clear of any hereditary and congenital defects.

Nikita, the better half of Dennis plays a major role in running the kennel smoothly. She contributes in areas like grooming, socials and technical aspects of the kennel. She is a Computer Science Engineer who is passionate about flowers and the founder of WestWind Floral Acres. Both Dennis and Nikita love and treat their dogs with lots of love and care. Our dogs live with us and around our two boys - Zane and Evan.
